Thanksgiving is that magical time of year when we stuff our faces with turkey — or tofurkey, if you’re vegetarian — but it’s not all about the food. This is the one time of year when we’re reminded to be thankful for all the things we have in our lives, whether that be our families, friends, our health, safety, financial security, you name it.
Here at CR, we’re all about the job market, and we know that employers have a lot to be thankful for during this time of year, too. Just 17 percent of employers find job candidates with the skills they need for their open positions. For employers, that means it’s worth reflecting on the great employees you do have and the great candidates you come across when looking for new hires.
The infographic below, which comes to us from Spark Hire, an online video resume and interviewing platform, reminds employers of the types of candidates they should be thankful for this holiday season. Whether they employ Baby Boomers, Generation X’ers, or tech-savvy Generation Y’ers, employers can be sure there are plenty of reasons to be thankful for each generation’s individual characteristics and expertise. Read on to see what hiring managers and recruiters should remember to be thankful for before doling out the turkey:
