The Event Planning Intern is expected to work 5-7 hours per week during regular workplace hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leading a national campaign targeting employers and lawmakers
- Researching and putting together a guide for holding town hall meetings
- Serving as a liaison to students/recent grads/colleges/universities who plan to hold town hall meetings
- Brainstorming other campaign events
- Arranging guests for the “Come Recommended Comes to Your City” podcast series
- Organizing webinars, online panel discussions and other Come Recommended events
- Scheduling topics, dates and times for each event
- Inviting guest co-hosts/panelists, as needed; serving as a liaison to these individuals
- Creating promotional plans for each event
Location: Virtual
Expected Duration: 12 weeks; option to renew/extend

Required Qualifications:
- Dedicated to the mission of Come Recommended – connecting the best internship and entry-level job candidates with the best employers
- Must become a Come Recommended member prior to starting
- Junior or senior pursuing undergraduate degree in PR, journalism or a related field; also accepting applications from recent graduates
- Minimum of one prior related internship
- Able to work independently, but under supervision (virtually/from home)
- Access to the Internet
- Driven, self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
