Olivia Adams, brand manager

oliviaadamsOlivia Adams, brand manager, graduated from Ferris State University with a B.S. in Public Relations. Olivia first joined Come Recommended in April 2013 as a content creator trainee. Prior to her experience with Come Recommended, Olivia interned with the 500 Festival, a nonprofit that plans special events for the Indianapolis 500, and worked as a writer and copyeditor for Ferris State’s student-run newspaper, The Torch.

Olivia is a fan of all things digital, content marketing, and public relations. When she isn’t working, you can find her curled up with a cup of coffee, listening to Bon Iver, and blogging for fun!

Olivia currently resides in the Grand Rapids, MI area.

Amanda Brenci, content creator

amandabrenciAmanda Brenci, content creator, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising and a Certificate in Public and Professional Writing. Prior to joining Come Recommended, Amanda gained experience as a corporate communications intern at a sports digital media firm and as a public relations intern at two Orlando-based PR agencies in the lifestyle and restaurant industries.

A proud Army Brat, Amanda has lived in a number of places throughout the United States and overseas. As a result of her previously mobile lifestyle, she has grown accustomed to building and maintaining relationships (social media is her best friend). It was also necessary to know how to quickly adapt to different cultures and environments – a skill she now appreciates.

Amanda currently resides in the Orlando, FL area.

Marikaye DeTemple, client lead

Marikaye DeTemple, our client relationship director, is most excited by planning. (Really exciting, right? But seriously, that’s what she loves!) Daily, she spends her time working with clients and the CR team on strategizing new and improved ways to meet and surpass everyone’s goals. She loves the challenges, demands, risks and rewards of stepping outside her comfort zone to keep ahead of industry trends and ensure new idea’s come to light. She’s always looking for the most organized, efficient, and productive way to build your brand and help your bottom line.

Prior to joining Come Recommended, Marikaye gained experience across a range of public relations and communications settings — broadcast radio, nonprofit PR, government community relations, and within an advertising agency. 

When not on Skype, Marikaye can be found coaching at the local soccer fields. She is passionate about the use of sports as a means to teach youth valuable life-long lessons.

Marikaye resides in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Erika Finnimore, content creator

erikafinnimoreErika Finnimore, content creator, has a B.A. in Advertising and Public Relations with minors in English writing and hospitality from the University of Central Florida.

Prior to working with Come Recommended, she wrote SEO content and copy as a freelance writer for various clients alongside her day job in marketing. She has worked for brands both big and small in the restaurant industry.

Erika enjoys playing with sentence structure and various grammatical elements, then analyzing to understand how it might influence reader perception. From time to time, she is struck with ideas of brilliance while in places not conducive to writing, and she has been known to fabricate wacky metaphors in an effort to relate to others.

She is passionate about learning what motivates people, making connections, and inspiring others to think from a new perspective.

She currently resides in Orlando, Florida.

Katie Olive, editor and media relations

Katie Oliveour Vice President, loves all things social media and technology. Since starting at Come Recommended as the media relations intern, Katie has built relationships with bloggers and media contacts in many notable and niche outlets in the job search and HR technology space.She previously worked in public relations at her university, where she was an executive board member for its programming board and marketing coordinator for another student activities campaign. As a board member, she publicized a multitude of events throughout the school year, implemented a social media strategy, and integrated a text messaging campaign for the organization.She currently resides in Tampa, FL with her husband and two dogs.

Aimee Simone, content creator

aimeesimoneAimee Simone, content creator, has a B.A. in Communications and English writing with minors in Public Relations and Spanish from Rider University. Prior to joining Come Recommended, she worked as an editor for Pharmacy Times, where she developed content for students. She also spent 3 years as a writing intern for her university’s Office of Communications.
Aimee loves words and is fascinated by their nuances. She is intrigued by the writing process and is surprised every time a mess of ideas transforms into copy. Aimee loves lists, outlines and heavy metal. She currently resides in Hamilton, New Jersey.
