Amanda Brenci, editor and media relations

amandabrenciAmanda Brenci, editor and media relations specialist, graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising and a Certificate in Public and Professional Writing. Prior to joining Come Recommended, Amanda gained experience as a corporate communications intern at a sports digital media firm and as a public relations intern at two Orlando-based PR agencies in the lifestyle and restaurant industries.

A proud Army Brat, Amanda has lived in a number of places throughout the United States and overseas. As a result of her previously mobile lifestyle, she has grown accustomed to building and maintaining relationships (social media is her best friend). It was also necessary to know how to quickly adapt to different cultures and environments – a skill she now appreciates.

Amanda currently resides in the Orlando, FL area.

Rhonda Craig, content creator

Rhonda Craig, a content creator associate, has a B.A. in Journalism with a minor in Business Management from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining Come Recommended, she gained valuable experience as a news reporter, content manager and PR specialist. She’s covered various industries including healthcare, retail, construction and the NGO sector.

Rhonda has a passion for storytelling — especially visual storytelling. She’s a lover of “feel good” stories, and always looks for ways to humanize her content.  

Rhonda admits being slightly obsessed with travel. When she’s not working from her home base in Orlando, she’s working from various parts of the globe.

Crystal DeTemple, editor

crystaldetemple90x90Crystal DeTemple, editor, has long had a passion for the order of words and all the spaces in between. Combined with her meticulous attention to detail and dirty little habit of correcting errors, she eagerly took on the challenge of meeting the expectations of Come Recommended’s outstanding clientele.

Prior to joining Come Recommended, Crystal gained valuable professional experience as a freelance copy editor, guest blogger and content developer for online magazines, as well as masterfully word-smithing her personal parenting blog. Crystal also focused in English Composition and creative and business writing at Towson University, after studying Music Therapy at Elizabethtown College.

Crystal enjoys being outdoors, photography, music and any form of art and expression she can expel her musings through. She is constantly looking for occasions to get craft-tacular, and is a bit of a hoarder when it comes to those little remnants of everyday life, that she can glue down or pin up.

  • What Crystal likes to do when she’s not working: When not working, Crystal spends most of her time with her children, making believe and believing anything is possible. She also teaches children music at the School of Rock, and performs as a vocalist with the Frederick, MD, singer and songwriter, Wally Worsley.

Marikaye DeTemple Kane, client lead

marikayedetemple90x90Marikaye DeTemple Kane, our client relationship director, is most excited by planning. (Really exciting, right? But seriously, that’s what she loves!) Daily, she spends her time working with clients and the CR team on strategizing new and improved ways to meet and surpass everyone’s goals. She loves the challenges, demands, risks and rewards of stepping outside her comfort zone to keep ahead of industry trends and ensure new idea’s come to light. She’s always looking for the most organized, efficient, and productive way to build your brand and help your bottom line.

Prior to joining Come Recommended, Marikaye gained experience across a range of public relations and communications settings — broadcast radio, nonprofit PR, government community relations, and within an advertising agency. 

When not on Skype, Marikaye can be found coaching at the local soccer fields. She is passionate about the use of sports as a means to teach youth valuable life-long lessons.

Marikaye resides in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Kristen Klempert, content creator and social media

kristenklempert90x90Kristen Klempert, senior content creator and social media specialist, graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in Philosophy, Neuroscience, and Psychology with a minor in writing. While living in St. Louis, she worked for several area publications and wrote about everything from restaurant reviews to concerts to falafel recipes.

After college, Kristen’s curiosity and love of travel got the best of her and she spent time living in Madrid, Spain. She taught English during the week and wandered around Europe on the weekends. In her opinion, there’s no better way to gain an appreciation for the power of words and communication than overcoming daily language barriers.

Kristen’s something you don’t see very often: a fifth generation Floridian. She’s recently returned to her hometown and resides in Stuart, FL.

Jeffrey Previte, content creator

jeffreyprevite90x90Jeff Previte, content creator, earned his B.A. in English at the University of South Florida.

He previously wrote surveys for an information and measurement company, contributed content to a lifestyle website, and worked as an editorial coordinator for a publishing company.

Jeff loves to read and write when he is not hiking, camping, kayaking, exploring local breweries, playing with his pug, listening to comedy podcasts, or watching movies. He currently resides in Tampa.

Aimee Simone, content creator

aimeesimoneAimee Simone, senior content creator, has a B.A. in Communications and English writing with minors in Public Relations and Spanish from Rider University. Prior to joining Come Recommended, she worked as an editor for Pharmacy Times, where she developed content for students. She also spent 3 years as a writing intern for her university’s Office of Communications.

Aimee loves words and is fascinated by their nuances. She is intrigued by the writing process and is surprised every time a mess of ideas transforms into copy. Aimee loves lists, outlines and heavy metal. She currently resides in Hamilton, New Jersey.
