WayUp Raises $18.5 Million in Series B Funding

WayUp‘s female CEO, Liz Wessel, recently announced they raised $18.5 million in the Series B funding round from venture capitalists including General Catalyst, BoxGroup, Lerer-Hippeau Ventures, Index Ventures, SV Angel, and Female Founders Fund to aid in production of a Netflix-like job matching app. WayUp has raised a total of $27.5 million so far.

SaaS Taking Over HR Tech, Security Becomes Highest Risk

ISG Insights recently released their 2017 Trends in HR Technology and Service Delivery report. The findings examine the changing industry, focusing on the shift to software-as-a-service (SaaS). ISG Insights projects over 50 percent of enterprises will rely on SaaS solutions by the end of 2020. The change is expected to happen rapidly, but not without its complexities. ISG Insights suspects security may be the highest risk impacting new HR technologies.
