RIVS is a provider of video interviewing solutions that just bolstered their ranks by acquiring InterviewStream. The acquisition gives RIVS over 900 additional clients in more than 100 countries.

HR Tech Deals Gaining Increased Interest from Crossover Investors

The participation for investment in HR tech startups in 2016 doubled that of 2015. These new deals come at the hands of “crossover” investors, where they set a record of 23 deals with $363 million in financing in 2016. Crossover investors are defined as “investment banks, hedge funds, mutual funds, asset managers, and other diversified financial services firms.”

App That Connects Hourly Workers to Jobs Raises $20 Million More

Shiftgig is a startup mobile platform for hourly workers that allows them to pick up shifts at local businesses in need of shift help. They’ve raised $20 million more, which brings the total raised by the company to $56 million.
